Owner, Music Teacher, Luthier, and Audio Engineer
Elyse Vandersteen
Elyse Vandersteen always had a deep love for music, incorporating it into various aspects of her life. She began teaching lessons in 2015, and pursued further education at McNally Smith College of Music and Augsburg University. Elyse's true passion was to share her love of music by teaching and guiding individuals in a unique and creative way. She aspired to start her own music lesson company, E Major 7 Music, in 2020. She specializes in personalized lessons and Adaptive Music Lessons for all ages.
Elyse is dedicated to ensuring that each student's individual needs are met. The learning experience is tailored to align with the student's interests and goals. Common areas of focus include basic music theory, lead sheets, tablature, grand staff sheet music, sight-reading, or requests such as "I want to play [specific song title(s)]." Questions are always welcome and encouraged. They are an essential part of the learning process, helping students better understand and apply what they are learning while fostering engagement and curiosity. This is a judgment-free environment where students are encouraged to express themselves freely. Above all, the primary objective is to enjoy the process of learning and making music!
